PDP Leadership Meets INEC over Secretary ship Of the Party

The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is currently in a closed door meeting with the leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the headquarters of the electoral umpire in Abuja.
The high-calibre delegates of the party comprising acting National Chairman, Umar Damagun, former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, serving senators, Seriake Dickson, Abba Moro, four governors, comprising Bauchi, Bala Mohammed, Zamfara, Dauda Lawal Dare, Oyo, Seyi Makinde, Plateau, Caleb Mutfwang, other party chieftains such as Senator Ben Obi, Ahmed Makarafi are at the commission’s headquaters in Abuja to iron issues concerning the party leadership crises.
The duo of Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, Hon. Udeh Okoye and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) conspicuously missing from the all-important meeting. Speaking in his opening remarks, the PDP Acting Chairman said that their mission was to ascertain the status of the party’s national secretary and the position of the commission concerning the party’s proposed National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for the end of June 2025.
In this response, INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, frowned at the inconsistent position of the party’s leadership over the national secretary, promising that it would form part of the discussion at the ongoing the meeting.
